The cause of a fire at an abandoned Broyhill Furniture Factory Sunday has been released. The fire which started around 5 o’clock is believed to have been started by workers using torches to cut steel pipe and beams out of the roof. A few explosions were caused due to pressurized tanks on the scene. In a press release the Lenoir Fire Department reports the fire was under control by 1:30 am.
