Motorists will need to plan extra time if traveling on U.S. 70 going east toward Hickory today. Law enforcement from several different agencies in Burke County will be carrying the Special Olympic Torch from the Old Burke Court House to the Hickory Police Department. The News Herald reports the run will begin at 9 a.m.
