It appears new apartments are on the horizon for Granite Falls, according to the News Topic. They are to be built on Duke Street after the town council voted Monday night to approve a rezoning petition by a local developer. The property is just under 2 acres on the east side of Duke Street, near the intersection of Duke Power Road.The property had been zoned for industrial, commercial or single-family residential use.
