On Tuesday morning a 3-year-old and a 6-year-old were airlifted from Alexander County to Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem after a two vehicle accident U.S. Highway 64. 29 year old Mercedes Hollis is being charged with failing to yield the right of way, and improper child restraint.
