A still unidentified suspect was taken into custody on Friday after allegedly attempting to set a shopping cart full of clothing on fire at the Walmart Supercenter on Highway 70 and Hickory. It’s reported that the female suspect poured kerosene on the clothing before unsuccessfully trying to start the fire. Both customers and employees were evacuated from the store for over an hour. Police took the suspect to an area hospital for evaluation. No further details are available at this time.
