Officers with the Lenoir Police Department discovered a man who had died at The JE Broyhill Walking Park Wednesday morning at around 9:30 am. Officers later identified the deceased male as Ervin Gene Bradshaw Jr, 33 of Lenoir. Bradshaw was found unresponsive by officers near a maintenance shed located in an outlying area of park. Caldwell County Emergency Services pronounced Bradshaw dead at the scene. The cause of death has not been released as of Thursday, and authorities stress that the incident poses no safety risk to the public. Broyhill Park is open to visitors. The investigation is ongoing.
