(HICKORY) – The Hickory Police Department is investigating a shooting incident that occurred in the area
of 3rd Avenue SE on Monday, September 9, 2024.
Hickory Officers responded to the 400 block of 3rd Avenue SE around 4:57 pm. A victim suffering from a
gunshot wound was located in the nearby area.
The victim, Deontate Robinson, 30, of Hickory, was transported to a hospital in Charlotte where he is in
stable condition as of Tuesday, September 10.
The initial investigation indicates this is an isolated incident that stems from an ongoing dispute
between the persons involved.
No suspects have been charged as of September 10. This investigation is ongoing. If anyone has any
