As of Monday October 21st NCDHHS have verified 95 Hurricane Helene storm related fatalities in North Carolina. Hardest hit has been Buncombe County with 42 confirmed dead. In the Catawba Valley Burke, Catawba, and McDowell counties have 1 confirmed fatality each.

North Carolina officials also confirm that 26 remain missing, down from 92 unaccounted for last week.
