An inmate attempted to escape from UNC Health Blue Ridge in Morganton while under the custody of the Burke County Sheriff’s Office.
24 year old Cody Dean Limbo of Hickory as at UNC Health Blue Ridge for a medical evaluation on Wednesday. During the check-in process Limbo was asked to sign some papers it was at that time he attempted to flee from the deputy. The deputy with the assistance of UNC security was able to capture Limbo before he could exit the hospital. After being medically cleared, the inmate was returned to the Burke County Jail.
Limbo now face additional charges of Felony Escape from Local Jail, Misdemeanor—Assault on Government Official / Employee,and Misdemeanor—Resisting Public Officer.
