The playground at Mulberry Recreation Center is open! The city installed a new piece of equipment and replaced all the safety mulch. This is part of ongoing improvements at our parks and recreation centers. There’s a lot to do at Mulberry, including indoor and outdoor basketball and pickleball, tennis, a skate park, a game room, and sand volleyball. There are picnic shelters and a walking track, too. The City also has playground equipment at the Optimist Park across the street and at the Martin Luther King Jr. Center. Mulberry Recreation Center is located at 720 Mulberry Street SW in Lenoir.
