Hickory Police have taken a suspect into custody for the homicide that occurred on Monday July 14, 2025.
Jaheem Quashawn Harris, 19, of Lenoir was charged with murder in the death of 22 year old Keimarian Donyah Peterson, of Hickory.
The arrest came less than 24 hours after HPD released video footage showing a red Dodge Charger that they suspected was involved in what was described as a drive-by shooting.
Harris is currently being held at the Catawba County Detention Facility under no bond. Lenoir Police Department assisted with the apprehension of Harris.
