Multi county crime spree ends in Caldwell County Thursday morning

A multi county crime spree late Wednesday night began and ended in Caldwell County early Thursday morning with the arrest of Jacob Daniel Eddlemon, 35, of Harriman, Tennessee. The Caldwell County Communications Center received a 911 call @ 730 am this morning from a resident in Granite Falls who told dispatchers that her Volkswagen Passat was just stolen from Hillside Ave in Granite Falls and there was a tracker in place on the vehicle. Deputies located the stolen Passat traveling north on Highway 321 in Granite Falls and began a pursuit that continued through Deal Mill Rd into the Oak Hill community to Wilkesboro Blvd. Stop sticks were deployed damaging the tires near the Starcross Road, but Eddlemon continued driving.
