The city of Morganton will receive $2 million in grant money from the Dogwood Health Trust. The funds will be used for housing development. $450,000 will be used for water and sewer infrastructure at the old Drexel Heritage site near Church St. $1.6 million will also be used for water and sewer infrastructure along NC 181 west of Morganton. The city matched the $1.6 million with American Rescue Plan funds.
