Man Indicted after Lying to Police in Drug Overdose Death Case

The boyfriend of a woman who died of a drug overdose is accused of lying to police during two interviews about her death. Nicholas James Lopez was indicted this week on two felony counts of obstruction of justice. Lopez was home and called 911 after waking to find that Hanna Marie Kincaid had overdosed on Fentanyl back in May. Police believe that he mislead officers about the circumstances of Kincaid’s death and only told the truth once confronted. He was previously charged with conspiracy to deliver a controlled I substance in connection with the same case.
