An argument between two men in Catawba County led to one of them being stabbed Saturday night. Catawba County Sheriffs Deputies were called to Stove Drive in Newton where they found the victim with a stab wound to the abdomen. Police said the man suffered serious injuries but was in stable condition at Catawba Valley Medical Center. 39 year old Taji Shareef Haqq, of Newton was arrested and charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious bodily injury. He was given a $50,000 bond.
