There are currently 107 people hospitalized with Covid 19 in Catawba County. Burke County reports 28 in the hospital and Caldwell County has 46 as of January 24th. The Caldwell County Health Department reported over 8,000 people are currently on the waiting list for the vaccine. Those over the age of 65 are now eligible to sign up for the shot.
