A Newton man faces drug charges in Burke County after a chase. Austin Michael Neece 24, was charged with felony possession of a firearm and felony possession of methamphetamine among many other charges. Officers stopped Neece after a brief chase on Burkemont Rd. He then fled on foot and was caught near the Foothills Correctional Institution. K-9 officers recovered the drugs. Neece was placed in the Burke County jail under no bond. A court date is set for January 28th.
