Commissioners in Alexander County approved plans for a splash pad, playground and picnic shelter for the Courthouse Park. The cost for the additions will be just under $400,000. Rick French, the county manager, said the splash pad will be similar to the one located in Valdese. The park will be located at 131 West Main Ave in Taylorsville.
