A ceremony will be held at Valdese Lakeside Park. A new bridge has been completed connecting the park to McGalliard Falls Park. The event will be at 1030am today. There are 11 miles of hiking and biking trails at the park with plans for more amenities such as a picnic pavilion and steps from the gristmill to the bottom of McGalliard Falls.
