RALEIGH – Your input is requested to help revamp how school accountability is determined. Currently schools receive a letter grade ranging from A to F, primarily based on EOG scores. Among schools in Alexander, Burke, Caldwell, Catawba, and McDowell counties, only four schools received a letter grade of A, with the majority of the schools reporting a letter grade of “C.” The survey is gathering opinions on additional factors that may be used to determine school performance. The survey will close by 5 pm Monday, October 10.
