With the holiday weekend just around the corner, you better watch your speed. The North Carolina Highway Patrol has announced a special speeding and seatbelt violations enforcement initiative.
Troopers will conduct a multi-agency patrol operation targeting I-40, U.S. 321 and NC 16 in Catawba County on Thursday, June 29.
In 2022, more than 428 people died in speeding-related crashes in North Carolina and speed was a contributing factor in nearly 25 percent of all fatal crashes.
