The suspect in a May shooting in Hickory was taken into custody late last week in Mississippi. Hickory Police Department announced Monday afternoon that 30-year-old Octavius Dontae Morgan was taken into custody on July 13 by the Coahoma County Sheriff’s Office in Clarksdale, Mississippi.
He is currently awaiting extradition. Morgan was wanted on charges of first-degree murder in the shooting death of Wade McArthur Danner at Wimberly Crossing Apartments on May 15.
