Horace Eugene Bost of Newton, will spend six to nine years in prison after pleading guilty to attempted second-degree arson during Catawba County Superior Court this week.
The 40-year-old’s sentence was enhanced by prior felony convictions for breaking and entering and assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury, both convictions in Catawba County. The case was investigated by the Newton Police Department.
