According to the Taylorsville Times, 55-year-old Mike Millsaps is officially the new Police Chief for the Town of Taylorsville. Millsaps had served as Interim Police Chief since Sept. 1. Millsaps follows retired Chief Douglas Bowman, whose last day was Aug. 31. Millsaps, who joined the force in 2008 and previously worked at Alexander Central High School, was born and raised in Taylorsville.
