A home on Fieldcrest Drive in Mountain View was classified a total loss after catching fire early morning Wednesday. Fire Chief Tim Matthews told the Hickory Daily Record when they arrived around 2 AM flames were shooting through the roof of the home. The home was occupied at the time of the blaze but had everyone had escaped by the time firefighters arrived.
