A man shot his grandson during a break in at a Longview home. Jesse Dwayne Gibson 34, is believed to have kicked in a door, demanded money and assaulted the victim at a home on 38th St NW Thursday morning. Longview Police found Gibson at a nearby hotel with life threatening injuries after the resident shot him multiple times. He did not know it was his grandson breaking in and assaulting him as he had a mask on. Gibson was flown to Carolina’s Medical Center in Charlotte and is in critical condition. The investigation is continuing.
