Kidnapping charges are brought against 8 people in Caldwell County. 36 year old Anthony Scott Bumgarner, 20 year old Elka Mckenna James, 50 year old Bobby Dean Bowlin, 18 year old Devan Alan Souther, 36 year old Tabitha Renee Bumgarner all of Hudson and 22 year old Tristan Douglas Coffey of Lenoir, 23 year old Adam Solis Hernandez of Morganton and 20 year old Hunter Dean Aungst of Hatteras NC face charges in Caldwell County. The arrests are in connection with a Tuesday morning incident in which a man and his girlfriend were assaulted at a Joplin Rd residence in Hudson. The man was in stable condition at Baptist Hospital in Winston Salem with 2 gunshot wounds. Bond was set at $300,000 for Anthony Bumgarner, Bowlin James and Aungst who also face attempted first degree murder charges. The rest received bonds of $100,000. Court dates were set for October 27th.
