Caldwell County Sheriff Kevin Bean has announced the arrests of Alysia Annette Taylor (W/F, 38) and Mitchell Ryan Grayson (W/M, 38) following a traffic stop and pursuit.
On March 19, 2025, at approximately 1:19 AM, Caldwell County Sheriff’s Deputies conducted a vehicle stop on a truck pulling a camper trailer near Clarks Chapel Road and Wonderland Trail in Lenoir due to an equipment violation.
During the stop, deputies discovered that the driver, Alysia Annette Taylor, had an outstanding Order for Arrest, while the passenger, Mitchell Ryan Grayson, had multiple outstanding Probation/Parole warrants.
Deputies took Taylor into custody, but Grayson fled the scene in the vehicle. Deputies pursued, ending when Grayson crashed the vehicle into a residence. He was then taken into custody.
Further investigation revealed that the camper trailer had been reported stolen from Wilkes County.
Mitchell Ryan Grayson was charged with:
Possession of a Stolen Motor Vehicle
Speeding to Elude Arrest
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
(2) Counts of Resist, Delay, and Obstruct a Public Officer
Driving While License Revoked
(6) Counts of Probation Violation
Defrauding a Drug/Alcohol Screening
Grayson received a secured bond totaling $197,000.
Taylor was charged with Possession of a Stolen Motor Vehicle, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Resist, Obstruct, Delay of a Public Officer, and Failing to Appear in Court. Total secured bond is $140,000.00
