Caldwell Memorial Hospital Inc has filed a certificate of need application with the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services to develop a freestanding emergency department — UNC Health Emergency and Urgent Care – Granite Falls — in Granite Falls.
The project is expected to cost $22.8 million and would be completed in March 2029.
A public hearing for this project will be held June 16 at 11 a.m. in room 213 of the J.E. Broyhill Conference Center, 1913 Hickory Blvd. S.E. in Lenoir.
Anyone may file written comments concerning these proposals. Comments must be received by the Healthcare Planning and Certificate of Need Section no later than 5 p.m. on June 1.
