HICKORY – Hickory Public Library is launching the Hickory Laureate Collection, a new showcase of books by local poets and authors now available at Patrick Beaver Memorial Library.
Created in partnership with Poet Laureate Scott Owens, the collection aims to acknowledge, celebrate, and preserve the rich literary talent and history of the Hickory community.
“It is a pleasure to be involved in the launch and future growth of the Hickory Laurette Collection. Hickory has a vibrant community of authors, and the library is actively involved in making connections throughout the area. This new collection celebrates local authors and will help inspire new writers for years to come,” said John Russell, Head of Adult Services at Hickory Public Library.
The books in the Hickory Laureate Collection are available for in library reading only, though some titles also have additional print or e book copies available for checkout.
Patrick Beaver Memorial Library is located at 375 3rd Street NE in Hickory.
