The Caldwell County Water Department mailed corrected water bills to customers who received bills with excessive amounts or no charge.
Customers who have already paid their water bill can disregard the new bill.
The incorrect billing was caused by a software problem at the billing company. The vendor has corrected the issue and does not anticipate any further issues.
“We want to apologize for any inconvenience caused to our water customers,” said Caldwell County Interim County Manager Wayne Rash. “Our staff will be available to answer any billing questions you may have.”
